This is probably the hardest task you will have. What do my customers need to know about my products...services...company? Here is an overview of items to help you determine the answer.

- What action do you want your web users to take?
- Who is your target audience for your website?
- What type of information are they looking for?
- What type of information can you provide?
- Is the website for established customers or new customers?
- How often do you want visitors to return?
- Will you need video? Audio?
- What type of image do you want to project? Fun? Intense? Calm? Corporate?
- Do you have text ready for the site? (Probably the most time consuming part.)
- How much do you want to be involved?
- Have you looked at your competitor's site?
- Who will follow up on comments/inquiries?
- How will promote your website?
- How will you keep your website fresh?
These are the planning questions that need to be answered before beginning your website. If you take these questions and provide the answers, you will be one step ahead of your competition.
